My Nani’s Ghee A little family story, since 2025

A GRANDMOTHER’S LOVE, BOTTLED

It began with
a little girl.
And a lot of love.

Before there was a name on a jar, there was a Nani making something special for her granddaughter.

This is our little golden story.

Some recipes begin in the heart.

CHAPTER ONE · 2025

A new little life.
A familiar kind of love.

In 2025, a little girl arrived, and a grandmother’s world became a little bigger, a little softer, and a whole lot sweeter.

She was Nani now. And like so many grandmothers, she had a language of love all her own: something made by hand, something watched over patiently, something prepared with her family in mind.

So Nani began making ghee for her granddaughter. With that first little batch came a promise that would stay with us: make it with the care you would give to someone you love.

That was the beginning of My Nani’s Ghee.

CHAPTER TWO · THE LITTLE RITUALS

Good things
take a little love.

There is something lovely about a kitchen that smells of ghee. That warm, nutty aroma. That quiet moment when an everyday ingredient turns golden.

For us, the care begins with dairy sourced locally in Canada. We make our ghee in small batches, keeping each one close to the spirit of Nani’s first.

Because a grandmother’s standard is personal. It lives in the attention she gives, the patience she brings, and the thought of the person who will enjoy it.

A small batch. A whole heart.

CHAPTER THREE · A GOLDEN INHERITANCE

A little wisdom,
passed down with the spoon.

Long before our first jar, ghee had a place in family kitchens and Ayurvedic tradition. Known as ghrita, it has traditionally been valued for nourishment and digestive support.1 For us, it is also a way of keeping a small piece of that heritage close.

A little richness

A spoonful brings a buttery, nutty depth to familiar food. Simple dal. Warm rice. The first bite of a soft roti.

A familiar comfort

The aroma that makes a kitchen feel like home. The finishing touch you remember long after a meal.

A living tradition

One generation teaching the next that preparing food can be an act of attention, generosity, and care.

A gentle note: Ayurvedic uses are traditional beliefs, not proven medical benefits. Ghee is rich in saturated fat and is best enjoyed in small amounts as part of a varied diet.2
